A visit from Mr Currie

Recently we had a visit from Mr Currie and his guide dog.  Mr Currie is has been blind for a very long time.  He was not born blind but an eye problem caused him to go blind when he was a young man.  A student in our class, Talia,  had written a speech about what it would like to be blind and she had asked Mr Currie questions as part of the research for her speech.  It was so great to have Talia present her speech in front of the class and in front of Mr Currie, especially because much of the speech involved Mr Currie and his stories.  It was really brilliant having Mr Currie come into the class and answer all of our questions about blindness.  Here are some pictures.  It was really a GREAT experience!
